Flash

I got a new laptop recently, and after installing FireFox I didn’t install Macromedia Flash. The experience so far is refreshing. Nothing moves on the web pages. Nothing beeps. Pure bliss.

All the web pages I regularly visit work flawlessly. From time to time I will come across a web page that is 100% Flash (mostly the intro pages – idiots). I usually turn away immediately, but if for some reason I really want to view it I simply open it in IE.

I guess Jakob Nielsen was right.
